Collaborations

Our research is highly multidisciplinary. Some of the work benefits strongly from the many robust collaborations that we have with research leaders in science and engineering, worldwide. The below lists the principal investigators with whom we have worked closely in recent projects. The most active collaborations appear first. (We have also worked with many postdocs, graduate students, visiting scientists and others not explicitly listed below.)

Prof. R. Nuzzo in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on printing techniques and materials for flexible electronic systems and on plasmonic biosensors.

Prof. Y. Huang in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at Northwestern University. We collaborate on mechanics of stretchable silicon and soft lithographic techniques.

Prof. J. Lewis in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on integration schemes for printed electronics and photovoltaics.

Prof. P. Ferreira in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on e-jet and transfer printing systems.

Prof. I. Adesida in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on mechanically flexible GaAs, GaN and InP devices on plastic substrates.

Prof. A. Alam in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. We collaborate on the physics of transport in carbon nanotube thin film transistors.

Prof. M. Shim in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on materials and devices for transistors based on networks of single walled carbon nanotubes.

Prof. P. Braun in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on 3D nanostructures for photonic applications.

Dr. G. Wiederrecht and Dr. S. Gray at Argonne National Laboratory. We collaborate on plasmonic crystals.

Prof. A. Rockett in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. We collaborate on photovoltaics.
